I have started to create my titles for my opening sequence, which includes the production company and name of the film. I have used Adobe After Effects to do this and have learnt how to use it whilst creating them.
This is the production company titles. I have learnt how to create effects and layer them with other text and effects. As I was creating the titles, I managed to learn various things by experimenting with the various option available. At first I found it difficult as I wasn't sure how to add effects or how to use them, so searched on the Internet for the basics of After Effects. To add an effect, I first had to insert a solid and apply the effect to it, and then made sure it was over the text layer. In this, I have used a shatter effect as it fits with the name of the company. I have also created the title of the film in Adobe After Effects as well, which allowed to use a variety of different effects and text; such as rain, lightning and text that changes colour. Whilst using After Effects, I have learnt how to make changes to different effects to suit it to what I want. For example, I can change the original radius of the shatter effect, so that there is still some glass left after it shatters.
I have also found appropriate sound effects that will be added in editing later, such as a glass shattering sound, and some royalty free music that will be used as well. All of this will be edited in Adobe Premier Pro.
